I began my adventure in the world of design by creating a freelance portfolio that showcased a variety of projects I had worked on. This journey started when I decided to offer consultation services that primarily centered around WordPress. I realized that WordPress is a widely used platform, and many people rely on it for their websites. To enhance my understanding and position myself as a knowledgeable consultant, I conducted thorough research on the topic. for many of the projects I would take on in the future.
I focused on one important question that many potential clients might want to know: Is WordPress truly better for search engine optimization, or SEO, from the perspective of an expert in this field?
This question guided my exploration and helped me gather insights that would not only benefit my portfolio but also provide valuable information to my clients. Through this research, I aimed to establish a strong foundation for my consulting services and demonstrate my expertise in using WordPress effectively for online visibility and success.
This platform became the foundation of my work as I helped clients understand its features and how they could utilize it effectively.
Through these consultations, I guided individuals and organizations in setting up their websites on WordPress which allowed them to manage their content easily and reach a wider audience. This initial involvement with WordPress laid the groundwork for many of the projects I would take on in the future.
Researching past clients and new projects I have also looked into the various themes available for WordPress, as I want to provide consulting services for users of that platform as well. WordPress is widely used and offers numerous options for themes, like Goshen Groover‘s brand. By learning about the most effective themes for WordPress, I will be better equipped to advise clients on choosing the right design for their specific needs and goals. Overall, my plans involve not only mastering SEO for Squarespace but also gaining insights into the optimal themes for WordPress to enhance my consulting services. As an Information Technology Consultant, I began my journey by collaborating with Guided Steps NY, INC. My main focus was to redesign their existing website, which was originally built on the Wix platform, and transition it to the Squarespace platform.
This involved carefully planning how the new site would look and function, ensuring it was user-friendly and visually appealing. In addition to the website redesign, I also dedicated time to developing a modern portfolio that showcases the various projects and services I offer. This experience allowed me to not only enhance my skills in web development but also to take the important step of establishing my own business in the process.
